Your words and your blessings have been an invaluable support and a very tangible demonstration of Yahweh’s ongoing favor in our lives. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. After my father’s passing, my mother and I received so many wonderful testimonies, both from this house and far beyond, regarding the ongoing impact of his ministry and the ways in which the Holy Spirit used him to change people’s lives and indeed to change the world. We will be sharing many of these testimonials here, as these accounts and insights from those who loved my father deserve to be read and appreciated. Yahshua said to his apostles, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another” (John 15:16-17, NKJV). We will be calling these testimonies “Fruit That Remains” in observance of this Scripture. After all, the world around us may not seem to acknowledge who we are spiritually, or to justify why we hold the convictions that we do. As we proceed through life, we find circumstances and individuals who seem more than willing to test our resolve. Ultimately, once we have accepted the gift of salvation, the choice to overcome and to embrace a mindset of victory becomes a matter of choice. Those of us who recently attended Financial Peace University may remember Dave Ramsey's quoting of American industrialist and leading automobile manufacturer Henry Ford: "Whether you think you can or think you can't, you're right." It is easy, from a distance, to think we will hold up in the day of trial. It is easy to believe, when things seem to be going in a direction that we like, to assert that we can "run with the chariots." Nevertheless, it is clearly a work of the Holy Spirit to be able to see prosperity where others see famine, to see opportunity where others see only hardship, and to see victory where others see only the abyss. Indeed, we cannot do this in our own strength. As the Apostle Paul tells us, "Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord" (Romans 8:37-39, NKJV). When our own strength and understanding falls short, it must be the work of the Spirit within us that endures. Before we gather together in the Community Room at South Burlington Public Library on April 4 at 12 PM, let us come prepared to discuss Romans 7-8 and the lessons those chapters hold about relying on the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Ainsworth Sunday March 22, 2026 In Vermont, it is not unusual to see the snows of winter persist until well after it is spring on the calendar. After having grown used to snow and winter temperatures, it is easy to feel, subconsciously or otherwise, as though the new life of springtime will never come. But we should not be deceived! Even in the midst of the snows, the earth is turning and growing closer to the sun. Regardless of appearances, the change toward warmth and life is occurring at a steady pace. The presence of clouds does not diminish the fact that the sunlight is growing warmer and nearer. We know that, through the grace of the New Covenant of Christ, we can walk in eternal life every day. The Apostle Paul declared this to the Corinthian church, saying "You are our letter, written in our hearts, known and read by all men; being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. And such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills but the Spirit gives life" (2 Corinthians 3:2-6, NKJV). Let us live our lives each day with the confidence and expectation that the works of Yahshua and His Holy Spirit will be made manifest in our lives. All things will be revealed to us in His perfect timing, and we may rest assured that His plans are in action both night and day. Ainsworth Sunday February 22, 2026 This week, the Holy Spirit has been hovering on the Book of Haggai. As we know, when the Israelites returned from the Babylonian captivity, they suffered something of an identity crisis about who they were and what their purpose was. The following passage may sound somewhat familiar: '"The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,"' says the LORD of hosts. "'The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,'" says the LORD of hosts. "'And in this place I will give peace," says the LORD of hosts'" (Haggai 2:8-9, NKJV).' The Father is unique in that He fulfills His promises and His plans, but often overthrows our expectations. As we look ahead to March 8, let us read the whole Book of Haggai and come ready to discuss what the Holy Spirit is saying to us thereby. I look forward to seeing you all there! Thank you, Cameron J. Ainsworth Sunday February 15, 2026 What a pleasure it has been to be in Vermont during these beautiful and crisp days of winter weather. Although the cold has been dramatic, and the sub-zero temperatures have been difficult on pipes and automobiles, the cold still holds lessons for us. First is the lesson of preparation. Whether preparation lies in erecting the windshield wipers on our vehicles, or in tuning up our snowblowers, the importance of being prepared is obvious. Secondly, and more profoundly, comes the understanding of the seasons and the ways in which they point to the LORD. In the Book of Job, when the titular character searches for and debates the meaning of life with his friends, Yahweh reveals Himself in the final act. As He poetically states His omnipotence, He asks 'Have you entered the treasury of snow, or have you seen the treasury of hail, which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war? By what way is light diffused, or the east wind scattered over the earth? (Job 38:22-24, NKJV). The work of the Father is made plain to those who have the eyes to see the signs of the times and the wisdom to discern them. As we navigate our way forward, let us keep our eyes fixed on Him. To Christ be the Glory! Beloved, do not think it strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened to you; but rejoice to the extent that you partake of Christ's sufferings, that when His glory is revealed, you may also be glad with exceeding joy (1 Peter 4:12-13, NKJV). Ainsworth Sunday February 8, 2026 I'm happy to be able to announce that we have secured an accommodation for our March 8 gathering at the South Burlington Public Library, located at 180 Market St, South Burlington, VT 05403. This will be a great opportunity to convene together at the aptly named Community Room, and we will be able to do so at the familiar time of 10 AM. Although this may seem to be a time of flux and transition, it is important to recognize that we are exactly where we need to be, even if that does not outwardly appear to line up with our former expectations. Our own Carole Santare recently blessed us with encouragement from her devotionals. Part of this reads as follows: 'God is a God of order, and nothing about the way He works is random. From the dawn of creation the voice of His Word set matter and elements in their places to govern and operate according to His divine plan.' That is an excellent reminder for all of us to operate with confidence and with the sure and certain knowledge that the Father has new horizons in store for all of us. It is so easy for us to become prisoners of our own preconceptions, bound to expectations based on our own experiences and dreams. When these are not realized, crises of faith and discouragement can sometimes result. Why didn't this happen? Why did this happen? What did we miss? What did we do wrong? While it is good to learn from our mistakes, there comes a time to cease overanalyzing and to move forward - to, as the Marine Corps says, "improvise, adapt, and overcome." Let us have the audacity to rejoice during this time. Let us focus on becoming excellent in all ways that we can. Most importantly, let us set our sails for the wind of the Spirit and let Him guide us to our true and proper havens. Thank you, Cameron J. Ainsworth Sunday January 25, 2026 As we journey through this time, it is often easy to consider the present as nothing more than a transitional stage. Instead, we should challenge ourselves to not only steel ourselves for the future, but to actively seek for what the Father has in store for us right now. In any stage of life it is important to remember that although we may yearn for the past, and long for the future, we still must deal with the present. It is audacious to seek for those treasures that the Father has in store for us - treasures that may lie before our very eyes. As Yahshua admonished His disciples, 'Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know (John 14:1-4).' Let us seek for the Father in this time as always, knowing that our reward will be certain. Our "mansions" may be aspirational on some level, but if we truly walk in eternal life today, then the truth is that we have our mansions even now.
